Finding organic nanostructures exhibiting luminescent behavior is a relevant issue in the development offunctional molecules. In this context, the possibility of incorporating them into the architecture of organiclight-emitting diode (OLED) devices has been investigated to improve their efficiency and photophysicalstability for predicting the suitability of the emissive material. Herein, we unraveled the excitation mechanismand the role of the coupling constant in an uncommon planar structure. Intersystem crossing (ISC) representsa necessary process, so understanding the rate constant allows assessment of the suitability of a material. Wecalculated the ISC and reverse rates for hexamethylazatriangulene-triazine HMAT-TRZ (1a) and itsfunctionalization with an iodide-atoms counterpart HMAT-TRZ-I2 (1b), thereby uncovering the role of theheavy atoms. Our results account for moderate singlet–triplet gaps, DEST (0.1–0.2 eV). Moreover, HMATTRZ-I2 enhanced the spin–orbit parameter, which accounted for ISC rates at the ms scale, and thus improvedtheir luminescent characteristics. Calculations were conducted using time-dependent density functional theory, with the PBE0-D3 level providing an accurate response for the large molecules studied herein.

Introduction
In Canada, paramedics and hospital emergency department (ED) nurses utilize the Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) to assign acuity. This study examined concordance of assessment between paramedics and emergency department triage nurses. We also assessed operational factors to provide confidence that paramedic triage scores were not being influenced by non-patient-related factors such as workload, delays in handover or destination type.
Methods
We conducted a retrospective cohort study of all paramedic-transported patients to hospitals from 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2022. All records of patients transported by paramedics to in-region EDs or urgent care centres (UCCs) where CTAS was recorded at two different points by paramedics (at time of transport) and triage nurses (at time of ED triage) were reviewed. We analyzed concordance using crude percentages, inter-rater agreement using a weighted kappa (kW) analysis, and computed an adjusted multilevel binomial regression model to determine independent associations between agreement and operational and clinical factors using odds ratios (OR) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs).
Results
Inter-rater reliability analysis showed ‘substantial’ agreement for the most critical patients (CTAS 1: 78.8%, κW = 0.66) and ‘fair’ agreement for the least urgent patients (CTAS 4: 32.8%, κW = 0.30; CTAS 5: 25.9%, κW = 0.34). Discordance increased with patient complexity (i.e. higher numbers of medical conditions [OR 0.98, 95% CI 0.97–0.98], patients aged ≥18, primary problems of mental health or soft tissue injury/pain presentations). Concordance increased with patient age and paramedic certification level. No operational factors examined demonstrated an independent association with CTAS agreement.
Conclusions
Patient acuity agreement declined with lower acuity scores. Operational influences were not detected as significant predictors of CTAS disagreement. Several clinical factors were found to potentially affect agreement, particularly with increasing patient complexity. The implications for paramedic practice, paramedic education and EMS response priority planning warrant further investigation.

Replication materials for a paired discrete choice experiment on managed workplace electric-vehicle charging in the United Kingdom and Germany. 858 car-commuting employees (426 UK, 432 Germany; 410 EV users, 448 non-EV users) each completed six choice tasks between two managed charging plans (smart or vehicle-to-grid) and an unmanaged plan, described by charging price, guaranteed range, energy export, export compensation, override fee and CO2 savings.
The record contains the full survey instruments (English and German), the fielded Ngene experimental design (36 rows in 6 blocks) with its Survey Engine implementation, the complete estimation and reporting code (Python 3.12, Biogeme 3.3.3; multinomial logit, log-normal panel mixed logit, willingness-to-pay-space model, adoption simulation, unit tests) and all aggregate outputs (parameter estimates, covariance matrices, results tables and figures).
Respondent-level data are not included: participants were informed that only the research team would access the data and that results would be published in aggregate form. A codebook of the analysis dataset is provided.

This paper explores Iqbal's philosophy of Khudi (Self-discovery based identity) as afoundational schema for an individual, in becoming a core element ofnation's stability. Thecontemporary socio-political thought attributes national strength to the institutional andeconomic power. While, Iqbal believes that nation's energy and stability entirely depend onmoral discipline and ethical practice of the individuals. The gap among two views, as a researchproblem leads this study with an objective to search Iqbal's ideological base of the argument.A student Of Iqbal-Studies, finds that the divine message in Qur'anic verses, make Iqbal'stheoretical frameworks. Same is the case ofKhudi and its culmination. Therefore, a thematicanalysis Of Iqbal's poetry has been carried out, keeping this paradigm in background. Thestudy of relevant verses through exegesis, depicts a synthesis between Qur'anic notions abouthuman status and destiny, with Iqbal's ideology about human life and fortune. The essence OfIqbal's view is, that the intrinsic connection between individual and the nation, remains themaster key to success. The findings illustrate that Iqbal's ideology gives a holistic ethical modelof human development. The individuals need to be nurtured through triad of self-recognitionas vicegerent of God, self-controVaccountability, and self-purification through sacrifice for thecollective benefit. In Iqbal's view, this model can guarantee a sustainable strength, leading tothe ultimate success for individuals and the nations. Iqbal sees individuals as the main buildingblocks of national architecture; those who are enlightened with self-recognition, self-purification, and self-elevation; motivated with faith in their ideology, can make the nationdignified reaching sky heights. Keywords: Iqbal's philosophy, self-recognition and purification, ideological revival, responsibility and accountability, ethical framework, intrinsic connection to community, solidarity and stability

Africa is central to the world's future. The continent holds immense human potential, vast natural wealth, and a very young population. Yet, historical trauma from colonialism and ongoing neocolonial practices still hold African nations back. Unfair global financial rules, high borrowing costs, and severe climate impacts create deep systemic barriers. Africa contributes barely 4% of global carbon emissions, yet suffers massive economic losses from climate change. The concept of "Africa Rising" must move beyond simple economic metrics. It requires structural justice, genuine self-directed development, and local academic agency. This special issue grounds these global debates in concrete African realities through eight insightful studies. Their authors offer practical solutions to pressing challenges: curbing conflict through trade and gender inclusion, combining indigenous justice rituals with state law, fighting carbon market fraud, and introducing novel economic models to combat financial exclusion. Other studies advocate for youth civic agency through non-formal education, pharmaceutical sovereignty to lower medicine prices, and reframing forced migration as a driver of regional integration through the African Union's Free Movement Protocol. Recent global governance reforms, such as the African Union joining the G20, now G21, offer a vital platform for procedural justice. However, a seat at the table is not enough on its own. Africa must activate its internal institutions, financial markets, and academic community. As demonstrated by the authors in this collection, local experts provide the essential evidence needed to drive real progress. Only through genuine partnership, ethical global frameworks, and grounded African agency can the continent realise its true development potential.

Background
Canadian paramedicine is increasingly leveraged by the public as a health care access point for needs beyond the acute, time-critical mandate of 9-1-1 systems. Recent reforms recognize this changing role, but remain incremental and evaluated through operational or encounter-level measures that perpetuate claims of misuse. Alignment has been proposed as a helpful structural logic, but remains underdeveloped.
Objective
To elaborate alignment as a policy framework for Canadian paramedicine and examine how it can support decisions about service design, performance measurement, workforce planning, governance, and accountability.
Methods
We undertook an interpretive conceptual analysis informed by literature from paramedicine, health services research, and health policy. The analysis examined dominant evaluative concepts, assessed their limitations for system reform, and drew on underlying logics to elaborate alignment as a policy-relevant construct.
Results
Necessity, appropriateness, avoidability, and redirectability are useful for triage, transport, and pathway selection, but insufficient as organizing principles for system-level reform. These concepts are limited in shifting attention toward systems that are designed around community need, access barriers, workforce capacity, and equity. Drawing on five frameworks—health system responsiveness; needs, demands, and supply; patient-centred access; human fit; and health promotion—we position alignment as a multidimensional construct of system–population fit.
Conclusion
Alignment refers to the degree to which service structures, care pathways, workforce capacities, and accountability mechanisms identify, reflect, and respond to the needs, expectations, and lived realities of communities served. It offers a framework for evaluating and guiding reform in Canadian paramedicine.
