Emerging diseases contribute to global biodiversity losses by causing local population declines and, with other stressors, increasing extinction risk. Protected areas are central to conservation efforts, yet they remain vulnerable to pathogen spillover and resultant impacts of emergent disease. We examined the extent and drivers of potential pathogen spillover from managed honey bees to wild bees across European grasslands in protected areas. Deformed wing virus B (DWV-B), a honey bee-associated virus, was found in all wild bee species tested (45% prevalence). Wild bee DWV prevalence was linked to the prevalence of DWV in honey bees and the abundance of bumble bees, while viral load in wild bees was associated with higher viral loads in honey bees. These findings indicate that pathogen spillover from managed bees might undermine the conservation value of protected areas. Our results suggest that proactive management is needed to reduce pathogen transmission and conserve the biodiversity these areas are intended to protect.

Solid oxygen hydrogen liquefaction (SOHL) ships liquid hydrogen from a blue hydrogen exporter to an importer. At the import terminal, the cold of the regasifying hydrogen separates air and freezes the oxygen in the empty cargo tank. The solid oxygen returns to the exporter, where its cold pre-cools the hydrogen liquefier and the oxygen feeds the autothermal reformer that makes the next cargo.
The repository includes the Python models used in the paper: the enthalpy balances and pinch cascades at both terminals, a stage-by-stage model of the air separation unit at the import terminal, the autothermal reformer and its carbon capture, the cost balance against a conventional liquid hydrogen chain, the Monte Carlo analysis and the comparison with ammonia. It also includes the scripts that draw every figure, and the data behind every figure and table of the paper and its Supplementary Information. Data that the paper only summarizes are included too: all 5,000 Monte Carlo samples, the alternative air separation designs and the sensitivity runs.
Running run_all.sh reproduces all results in a few minutes. The README maps each figure and table to its data file and script. The code is released under the MIT licence and the data under CC BY 4.0. The map uses the public-domain Natural Earth land polygons.

The "Virtual Workshop on Semantic mapping of excavation data" took place on the 15th June 2022 (on Zoom) and was organised as an open forum to illustrate aspects of the work carried out by the Archaeological Excavation Modelling Working Group, a sub-group within WP 4.4.12. The presenters, both Partners and Associate Partners of the ARIADNEplus consortium, explored semantic modelling and the use of CIDOC CRM, as well as the tools developed to assist researchers with mapping their data. Five case studies on semantic mapping of excavation data were also presented. Each presentation was followed by a Q&A, while a discussion at the end of each session allowed participants to engage in conversation and contribute their experiences and ideas with a view to making excavation data FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable).
This is the first presentation by Florian Hivert (CNRS) fof Part B of the Workshop: Case studies in excavation data semantic mapping.

Abstract
Winter faba beans exhibit significant yield advantages over spring cultivars and hold promise for enhancing local protein production and agricultural sustainability. However, the threat of winter kill limits wider cultivation, and the genetics of faba bean winter hardiness remain unresolved. Here we develop a greatly improved faba bean reference genome and combine this with resequencing and phenotyping of winter and spring accessions to identify genetic determinants of winter hardiness. Genome-wide association analysis of frost tolerance traits identifies a major winter hardiness locus, the most strongly associated variant of which explains the vast majority of phenotypic variation and accurately differentiates between winter and spring types. Furthermore, we identify additional signals within the winter faba bean gene pool that could lead to further improvement of winter hardiness. Our work provides improved genomic resources and resolves the genetics of a key agronomic trait in a global protein crop to facilitate future breeding efforts.
