Background: Evidence guiding criterion-based rehabilitation following secondary knee procedures, such as cyclops lesion excision, is limited. In the absence of procedure-specific guidance, clinicians may therefore draw on existing rehabilitation frameworks and adapt them to the athlete’s persistent impairments, sporting demands, and individual recovery.
Objective: To describe how a criterion-based framework, repeated assessment and graded sport exposure were adapted following cyclops lesion excision after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction in a competitive netball athlete.
Case: A 20-year-old female competitive netball athlete underwent cyclops lesion excision approximately 10–11 months after ACL reconstruction using a hamstring autograft with lateral extra-articular tenodesis. Three weeks after excision, involved-limb isometric quadriceps force was 25 kg compared with 69 kg on the uninvolved side, despite minimal pain and satisfactory basic movement.
Intervention: An eight-month rehabilitation programme combined supervised physiotherapy, gym and field sessions with independent training. Strength, functional performance, movement quality, symptoms and psychological readiness informed progression through running, field rehabilitation, team training and graded competition.
Outcomes: Involved quadriceps force increased to 65 kg and between-limb asymmetry decreased from approximately 64% to 4%. International Knee Documentation Committee subjective knee scores increased from 77 to 98 and Anterior Cruciate Ligament Return-to-Sport After Injury scores from 61.8 to 94.3 between return-to-field and return-to-sport assessments. Residual hamstring and vertical-hop deficits remained when graded competition exposure commenced. The athlete returned to competitive netball and completed a further two-month injury-prevention programme.
Conclusion: This case illustrates individualised application of rehabilitation evidence and transparent reporting of progression despite residual deficits. The observed outcomes do not establish treatment effectiveness or the safety of the clearance decision.

This deposit supports the manuscript "Class pair structure of near miss predictions during image classifier training," prepared for submission to PeerJ Computer Science. It contains saved per-epoch prediction records and run metadata for 36 image-classifier runs, selected checkpoints, analysis code and numerical audits, and terminal outcomes for 42 follow-up run conditions. The follow-up set includes numerical failures; 42 terminal records must not be interpreted as 42 finite accuracy measurements. Five ZIP archives contain source records and one ZIP archive contains code, derived results, the reproduction guide, and third-party source notices. Source-input and archive SHA-256 manifests are supplied separately. Original benchmark images, standalone human-annotation files, and pretrained weights are not redistributed; per-run split files do include assigned and reference label arrays. Obtain original benchmark materials from their cited sources and respect their license terms. Historical workstation paths in preserved result JSON are execution provenance; the reproduction guide describes portable data-root settings. AI-assisted development and editorial work are disclosed in the manuscript.

This repository holds all of the photographs taken of Syngnathus floridae, S. fuscus, and S. scovelli prior to entering various mesocosm experiments. Morphometrics from the S. floridae and S. scovelli photographs have been previously published/analyzed at https://doi.org/10.1111/mec.17550 and https://doi.org/10.1086/671233 respectively. These photographs were re-analyzed using ImageJ alongisde the S. fuscus photos and the corresponding morphometrics were used in the manuscript "Comparing mating systems and the strength of sexual selection across three congeneric species of pipefish spanning the continuum of sexual dimorphism" (DOI: tbd).
Photographs of S. floridae and S. fuscus were taken in Sep-Dec 2020 and June-Aug 2021 respectively by NM Tosto. Photgraphs of S. scovelli were taken in Jul-Oct 2010 by E Rose.
There are three folders, one corresponding to each species:
syngnathus_floridae_meso_photos.zip - In this zipped folder there will be individual folders for each trial named Trial 1, Trial 2, etc. The individual trial folders then contain photographs of all male and female Syngnathus floridae that were included in that trial, taken right before entering. They are named in the following format:
Trial Number_Sex FishID_Type of photo, where trial number will look like TX, sex is either M or F and the FishID ranges from 1 - 8. For example a photo starting with T3_F1 would be female 1 from trial 3 and T3_M1 woulf me male 1 from trial 3. The final identifier indicates the type of photo taken:
For females that will be indiciated with an "L" for the full length photo (allows you to measure from snout to caudal fin), "M" and "MB" for photos taken under black light to highlight the VIE tags used for identification, or "T" for a closer shot of the torso from snout to urogenital opening (helpful for more precise measurements of snout-vent length). For example, the T3_F1 fish would have the following photos: T3_F1_L, T3_F1_M, T3_F1_MB, T3_F1_T
For males, they have the same four listed above for females, however, we have an additional identifier of "B" for photos taken with the male's brood pouch gently pushed againt the glass (which allows us to measure things such as brood pouch area and length).
All photos have a ruler included in the shot, aside from the "MB" photos which are a close-up of the VIE tag, which allows the user to set the scale for measuring.
syngnathus_fuscus_meso_photos.zip - In this zipped folder there will be individual folders for each trial named Trial 1, Trial 2, etc. The individual trial folders then contain photographs of all male and female Syngnathus fuscus that were included in that trial, taken right before entering. They are named in the same format as outlined above for S. floridae. However, note that as only 6 males and 6 females were used in these mesocosms (instead of the 8 as was done for S. floridae) the FishID will range from 1 - 6.
Again, all photos have a ruler showing in the to allow the user to set the scale for measuring.
syngnathus_scovelli_meso_photos.zip - In this zipped folder there will be two separate folders for Male pipefih and Female (named "Males" and "Females). Whithin each of those folders will be individual folders for each trial named Trial1 - Trial8. The trial folders contain all of the Syngnathus scovelli male or female pipefish that were included in the trial, taken right before entering. They are names in the following format:
Females: C Trial Number_F FishID, where trial number and fish ID range from 1 - 8. There is one photo per female. For example the photo C2_F6 is female 6 from trial 2.
Males: C Trial Number_M FishID_Type of photo, where trial number and fish ID range from 1 - 8. There will be two photos for each male, one which ends in _L and is a full length photo (used to measure SVL, standard length, and torso depth) and one which ends in _B which was taken whith the male's brood pouch gently pushed against the glass (to get measurments such as brood pouch area and length). For example, the photos C4_M3_L and C4_M3_B are the two photos for male 3 in trial 4.
Again, all photos have a ruler showing in the picture to all the user to set the scale for measuring.

THE DEATH OF A CLOSE PERSON AS A TEST OF TWO CHILDHOOD POETICS: MENTAL AND ACTIONAL EVENTS IN TOLSTOY, AKSAKOV AND OYBEK
April, 2026 • Publication
The article compares one narrative situation, the death of a close person as experienced by a child narrator, in three autobiographical tales of childhood: Leo Tolstoy's Childhood (the death of the mother and the grief of Natalya Savishna), Sergei Aksakov's Years of Childhood of Bagrov the Grandson (the death of the grandfather) and Oybek's Bolalik (the death of the younger brother Hoji). The three works belong to one genre-narrative type, the memory-analytic tale of childhood built on the idyllic household chronotope, which makes the comparison typologically legitimate. Using Valery Tyupa's distinction between mental and actional events and Lidiya Ginzburg's classification of direct and indirect forms of psychological depiction, the article shows that the same situation is constructed as a mental event in the Russian texts, where the child's inner state is named, analysed and explained by the narrator, and as an interactional event in the Uzbek text, where the inner state is not named and is conveyed through the visible signs of other people and two bodily details of the narrator himself. The opposite proportion in which the two traditions use the same devices is interpreted as the expression of two concepts of childhood, an ontogenetic-psychological one and an axiological-moral one, and not as a difference of skill. Keywords: child narrator; death scene; mental event; actional event; psychologism; direct and indirect forms; Tolstoy; Aksakov; Oybek; autobiographical tale; Russian prose; Uzbek prose.
