Google Earth Engine (JavaScript) and R scripts, together with the derived data, used to study snow occurrence before and after the 2005 Lanjarón wildfire (Sierra Nevada, Spain) in plots where different post-fire treatments were applied: salvage logging (SL), partial cut plus lopping (PCL) and non-intervention (NI).The workflow includes: (1) creation of a Landsat-pixel grid and assignment of treatments; (2) calculation of the Normalized Difference Snow Index (NDSI) from Landsat 5 and 7 Collection 2 surface reflectance for cloud-free scenes; (3) extraction of ancillary variables (elevation, slope, shadows, etc.); (4) pixel-level snow percentage calculation (NDSI threshold 0.4); and (5) statistical comparison between treatments before and after the fire.

For two decades, the smartphone was sold on its specifications: megapixels, gigahertz, refresh rates, camera arrays. This paper argues that the AI agent breaks that model. When an agent books the flight, compares the prices, writes the email, and makes the call, the hardware underneath stops being the reason to buy. Agent quality becomes the comparison point, upgrade cycles stretch toward appliance territory, and the phone collapses into what it actually needs to be: local neural processing and memory, an appliance the agent runs on. Handset makers face a demand shock they cannot market their way out of. Their options narrow to two: build an agent or preload someone else's. The paper further argues that Meta, burned by platform dependence and already invested in hardware, agents, and models, is the most likely maker to sell the agent-first phone itself rather than negotiate for placement on someone else's.

Ushbu maqolada markazdan qochma nasos ishchi g'ildiragi diskidagi ishqalanish yo'qotishlarini sferik sirtqi chuqurchalar yordamida kamaytirishning analitik matematik modeli ishlab chiqilgan. Tadqiqotda turbulent chegara qatlamining xususiyatlari, chuqurchalarning nisbiy chuqurligi, qoplash ulushi va Reynolds sonining o'zaro bog'liqligi tahlil qilingan. Model asosida chuqurchalar uchun 0,75–2,20 mm joiz chuqurlik oralig'i aniqlangan. Eksperimental natijalar nasos foydali ish koeffitsiyenti 0,70 foiz punktiga oshganini ko'rsatgan.

This dataset was produced using a harmonised methodology for estimating the spatial distribution of citrus areas across the European Union at 10 × 10 km grid resolution for the 2020 reference year. The approach integrates Eurostat **Farm Structure Survey (FSS) 2020** gridded agricultural statistics, official regional agricultural statistics and the Copernicus High Resolution Layer (HRL) Crop Types. Missing or suppressed FSS values are estimated using regional crop-area totals and Earth Observation-derived spatial weights, while reported values are transferred, aggregated or disaggregated to the common EEA reference grid according to their source resolution. The resulting map provides quantitative citrus-area estimates, crop-presence indicators, provenance metadata and a rule-based methodological uncertainty class for each grid cell. Evaluation against official regional statistics and independent **Land Use/Cover Area Frame Survey (LUCAS)** field observations showed overall consistency with the source statistics and a 95.1% detection rate for LUCAS-positive grid cells. The resulting spatial dataset is intended to support EFSA plant health risk assessment and related spatial analyses.

Exploring residual variance in MIR-predicted milk metabolites and fatty acids as genetic indicators of resilience in dairy goats
Animal resilience is increasingly needed to help dairy systems adapt to environmental and nutritional disturbances, but it remains difficult to measure under routine farm conditions. Residual variance in daily milk yield has been proposed as an indicator of resilience, and recent studies suggest that similar indicators derived from test-day records can also be informative. However, residual variance in milk metabolic variables has been little explored, even though these variables may provide information on mechanisms of physiological adaptation and the prioritization of biological functions that may not be captured by milk yield variance alone. In this study, we tested whether log-transformed residual variance indicators derived from milk metabolites and fatty acids predicted from mid-infrared spectra could provide new indicators of resilience in dairy goats, suitable for use in breeding programs.
We used 4,819 first-lactation test-day records from 647 Alpine goats raised in one experimental flock for seven years. Milk yield, milk composition, 4 predicted milk metabolites, and 5 predicted fatty acid variables were adjusted using linear mixed models, and residual variance indicators were calculated from the within-goat variance of test-day residuals.
Despite the limited population size, several residual variance indicators showed evidence of additive genetic variation, especially those derived from C16:0 (h² = 0.40) and C18:1 (h² = 0.18). In the subset with recorded culling information, where goats were not culled for production reasons, higher residual variance in C18:1, urea, isocitrate, odd- and branched-chain fatty acids was associated with decreased functional longevity. These results provide preliminary proof of concept that residual variance in selected milk metabolites and fatty acids may capture dynamic aspects of metabolic stability related to functional longevity. Larger studies are needed to confirm these associations and estimate genetic correlations among residual variance indicators and with production traits. If validated, these indicators could provide new candidate phenotypes for future genetic selection for resilience.
