This poster was presented at the International Congress of Mathematicians 2014 in Seoul, in the Complex and Algebraic Geometry section.
According to a general principle in noncommutative algebraic geometry, formulated by M. Kontsevich and A. Rosenberg, a property of an associative algebra A is “geometric” if it induces standard geometric properties on its representation spaces Rep(A,V). Here, Rep}(A,V) denotes the space of all representations of A on a finite-dimensional vector space V, equipped with its standard affine scheme structure. This principle suggests that the family of affine schemes Rep(A,V) should be regarded as a substitute for a hypothetical affine noncommutative scheme, namely Spec(A). It has been successfully applied to symplectic and Poisson structures on quiver algebras by W. Crawley-Boevey, P. Etingof, V. Ginzburg, and M. Van den Bergh, among others.
In this poster, we present noncommutative analogues of other standard geometric structures. Specifically, we introduce bisymplectic NQ-algebras, the noncommutative counterparts of symplectic NQ-manifolds. These manifolds encode higher Lie algebroid structures in the Batalin–Vilkovisky formulation of topological quantum field theories. Graded noncommutative algebraic geometry provides the natural setting for studying these structures. Our main result establishes a correspondence between bisymplectic NQ-algebras of weight 1 and Van den Bergh’s double Poisson algebras. The proof requires a noncommutative analogue of the odd Darboux theorem.
The results presented in this poster were obtained in collaboration with Luis Álvarez-Cónsul (ICMAT).

Abstract
We propose multi-spin molecules as a viable architecture for fault-tolerant quantum computing. To this aim, we introduce a correction protocol handling both diagonal and off-diagonal errors, typically associated with dephasing and relaxation. The scheme is based on a hybrid encoding which combines dephasing-tolerant units suppressing the leading pure dephasing error into a multi-spin molecule implementing a multi-qubit code for residual off-diagonal errors. Our proposal leverages peculiar properties of molecular spins, i.e. the strong hierarchy between different errors and the possibility to engineer multi-spin molecules at the synthetic level. Moreover, it addresses the important issue of the loss of coherences in anharmonic systems subject to off-diagonal errors, which hampers their correction at the single spin level. Thanks to the huge suppression of dephasing by the first-level code, we numerically demonstrate the potential performance of this strategy even with a limited number of spins per logical unit.

This repository contains supplementary data, R code, and detailed biomization schemes associated with analyses of global biome shifts over the past 21,000 years.
The repository contains three components:
Supplementary_data.zip – Supplementary Data 1–8 supporting the statistical analyses and figures, including biome compositional turnover, categorical biome shifts, Gaussian kernel correlations, simulated bioclimatic variables, reconstructed and simulated biomes, modern potential natural biome distributions, and related model outputs.
Supplementary_code.zip – R scripts and associated input/output files used for statistical analyses and data visualization.
Biomization.zip – Detailed biomization materials, including the LegacyPollen 2.0 overview, taxa-to-PFT assignments, PFT-to-megabiome assignments, and reconstructed biome products used for pollen-based biome reconstruction and comparison with Earth system model simulations.
These materials support the reproducibility of the analyses presented in the associated manuscript.

The European Registry of Cardiac Arrest Study THREE (EuReCa-THREE) prospectively collected standardized out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) data across participating European countries using the Utstein reporting framework. Participation in EuReCa-THREE provided an opportunity to describe OHCA characteristics and outcomes in Greece and to compare them with contemporary European data.
A registry-based observational study was conducted using the Greek EuReCa-THREE dataset collected between 1 September and 30 November 2022. The study was performed within the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) region of Thessaloniki, representing the Greek participation in EuReCa-THREE and covering a population of approximately 1.1 million. Cases were collected according to the EuReCa-THREE protocol through prospective registration supplemented by systematic review of EMS records to ensure case completeness. Demographic characteristics, arrest circumstances, resuscitation variables and outcomes were analysed. The primary outcome was any return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC).
A total of 302 confirmed OHCA cases were identified. Mean age was 72 years and 60.3% were male. Most arrests occurred at home (78.5%). Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was attempted in 37.4% of cases, while EMS resuscitation was initiated or continued in 99 patients. ROSC was achieved in 31.3% of EMS-treated patients. Initial shockable rhythm was strongly associated with ROSC (63.6% vs 15.2%; OR 9.8, 95% CI 3.69–26.05; p<0.001). Hospital admission with ROSC or ongoing CPR occurred in 35.4% of EMS-treated patients; 19.2% arrived at hospital with ROSC and 16.2% under ongoing CPR. Hospital discharge survival was confirmed in 7.1% of EMS-treated patients; however, complete hospital follow-up was not available for all cases. More than one quarter of all cardiac arrests occurred in individuals aged 41–65 years (27.8%).
This first detailed Greek EuReCa-THREE analysis provides important information regarding OHCA epidemiology, resuscitation characteristics and outcomes in Greece. OHCA affected predominantly older individuals and occurred mainly at home, although a substantial proportion of cases involved individuals of working age. ROSC was achieved in approximately one third of EMS-treated patients, and initial shockable rhythm was the strongest factor associated with ROSC in this cohort. Continued efforts to strengthen community response, dispatcher-assisted CPR, public-access defibrillation and OHCA surveillance may contribute to improved OHCA outcomes in Greece.
