This deposit holds the reference implementation of the Structural Harmonic Spectrum (SHS) and the complete computed corpus for the preprint, The Structural Harmonic Spectrum (SHS): mapping atomic-scale architecture onto pitch-class sets, which is deposited separately under DOI 10.5281/zenodo.22874592. See README.txt for a description of the archive and its file-naming conventions.
SHS maps the coordination geometry of an experimentally determined crystal structure onto musical pitch-class sets. Interatomic distances are grouped into gap shells and then into coordination shells by an orientation-tensor merge; the geometric-mean radius of each shell gives a structural interval I_S = 1200·log2(r_k/r_1) in cents and, folded into one octave, a musical interval I_M. Every threshold and convention is defined in the manuscript.
Contents: the analysis script SHS.py and five further scripts that produce the derived reports; 288 canonical results over 581 crystallographically independent sites, one user-defined variant (CaCu5 under a forced merge), as HTML, JSON, CSV, interactive 3-D pages and MIDI; 95 element folders of elementary substances and 87 structure-type folders of multi-component compounds; 45 structure-type identity reports; scale- and chord-matching listings with guitar chord-shape pages; and a controlled musical example of six rendered clips with their frequency table.
Provenance and licensing are documented in the archive. CIF_SOURCES.md and CIF_SOURCES.json map every result to its input, recording 108 Pearson identifiers and the SHA-256 of each input file; only two CIF files may be redistributed and are included, the rest of the inputs are named for traceability only. The code and the documentation are MIT licensed. The scale catalogue built into SHS.py is a checksummed snapshot of 551 templates from DaMuSc, redistributed under CC BY 4.0 and attributed in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md and MUSICAL_TEMPLATE_SOURCES.md.
The microtonal content of every MIDI file is carried by pitch bend: play Test_microtonality_for_player.mid first, because a player that ignores pitch bend renders the whole corpus in 12-tone equal temperament.
Deposit version 1.0.1 differs from 1.0.0 only in authorship: the anonymised copyright and author lines of the review deposit are replaced by the author's name in LICENSE.txt, CITATION.cff, this file and the six scripts. No computed result changed, and SHS.py itself is unchanged at version 1.0.0, which is the version stamped in every generated report.

Terrestrial carbon sink enhancement and energy system transformation to low-carbon energy are two complementary carbon mitigation pathways. The effectiveness of these pathways can be altered by air pollution via its effects on meteorological conditions. However, how air pollution affects the overall performance of integrated carbon mitigation through these pathways remains unclear. Here we systematically quantify the influences of air pollution on terrestrial carbon sinks and renewable energy (solar photovoltaic and wind) based on simulations under multiple emission scenarios. Our results show that air pollution substantially reduced mitigation potential through concurrent losses in terrestrial carbon sinks and renewable energy. The integrated carbon mitigation potential declines by 1.22 Gt CO2 a−1 due to air pollution across the Northern Hemisphere, with a pronounced reduction of 0.416 Gt CO2 a−1 in China. Furthermore, the adverse effects of air pollution on carbon mitigation potential are projected to persist in the future. Our results demonstrate that air quality improvement provides an important climate mitigation co-benefit by enhancing carbon uptake and renewable energy potential, with significant implications for designing strategies to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

This repository contains the Python code supporting the manuscript “Socio-economic flood resilience reveals welfare-vulnerable communities obscured by asset-based appraisals”. The code implements neighbourhood-level household asset-loss, monetised well-being-loss and socio-economic flood resilience (SEFR) calculations across England, together with the statistical, spatial and figure-generation analyses reported in the main text and Supplementary Information. Third-party source datasets are not redistributed with the software archive; data requirements and expected input filenames are documented in DATA_README.md.
Stable Continuum-Valued Observables from Finite Refinement Measurements: The RCS Framework and Its Physical Spectrum

This preprint develops a refinement–compatibility–stability (RCS) framework in which finite process occurrences generate rational calibration readouts indexed by a directed refinement system, and studies when such readouts determine a stable continuum value. Throughout, a continuum-valued observable means the completion class determined by an admissible stable refinement thread; no operator-algebraic or quantum-mechanical notion of observable is presupposed.
Main results.
Every stable rational thread determines a unique value in the Cauchy completion of the internal rational field. Equality of completed values is equivalent to asymptotic thread equivalence; realization preserves the induced algebraic operations; and the value is invariant under cofinal changes of refinement schedule.
For bounded occurrence ratios, asymptotically negligible perturbations to the numerator and denominator preserve the completed value. Nested rational enclosures of vanishing width provide a sufficient, independently checkable stability certificate.
The mathematical completion is distinguished from the physically realizable spectrum selected by a declared class of admissible protocols. Occurrence-ratio generation and stability alone do not determine a unique physical spectrum; additional assumptions about admissible channel composition can induce corresponding algebraic structure.
A Pell-type recursion yields a stable irrational completion value using finite positive-integer counts, while an oscillatory model shows that qualitative refinement assumptions alone do not guarantee quantitative stability.
Computability is treated conditionally: if the refinement system and protocol count functions are computable, and the stability thresholds are effectively obtainable, the completion value is a computable real. The paper does not assume that every physically admissible protocol is effective, and does not claim that physical observables must be computable.
Scope.
Apart from standard algebraic and topological facts cited in Sections 2 and 4, the results depend only on the definitions, axioms, postulates and additional conditions stated in this manuscript. No linear, geometric, temporal, or topological realization developed in the broader Observation–Feedback programme is assumed here.
The readout is compared with the partial observables of relational physics, and stability, invariance and physical admissibility are treated as logically distinct requirements. The framework originates in the finite-occurrence and refinement-stability sector of the Observation–Feedback (OF) Closure programme (companion manuscript: Observation–Feedback Closure I, v1.5.0, doi:10.5281/zenodo.21859450), which supplies the broader relational motivation.
The paper makes no empirical predictions and does not identify the physically realizable spectrum with the full mathematical completion.
Version note.
Version v1.1 is a clarificatory revision of v1.0. It states the provenance of the “OF”-labelled arithmetic, separates calibration protocols, readout threads and completion values, and sharpens the distinction between quantitative stability and physical admissibility. The only changes inside numbered equations are notational (κ_T → Read_T and N_eff → N_eff,i*); no theorem statement, proof, or mathematical conclusion has been changed. The PDF lists the full set of changes immediately before the Acknowledgments.
Status.
Preprint; not peer reviewed. The deposit includes the manuscript PDF, LaTeX source and BibTeX bibliography.

Abstract: The institution of priesthood has a central place in the Old Testament. However, its historical development, diversity, and theological significance are often presented through a fragmented or narrow perspective of religious tradition. This article aims to examine the institution's historical formation, religious functions, and theological significance within the broader context of the ancient Near East and biblical tradition. The paper aims to shed light on the relationships among priests, Levites, Aaronides, and Zadokites, and to investigate how these groups contributed to the organisation of Israelite worship and religious identity. The research is based on a qualitative literature review and textual analysis of the Hebrew Bible, employing philological, historicalcritical, and theological approaches. Biblical texts are examined alongside contemporary scholarly literature to examine the emergence of priestly institutions, the development of sacrificial worship, the centralization of the cult in Jerusalem, the significance of the Tabernacle and the Temple, the rituals of consecration, and the relationship between priesthood, holiness, purity, covenant, justice, and Torah. Particular attention is given to the Day of Atonement, priestly teaching and judicial authority, the covenant of Levi, and the role of the high priest during the Second Temple period. The findings indicate that the Old Testament priesthood did not develop into a fixed or consistent institution but underwent continuous historical and theological transformation in response to changing religious, political, and social conditions. Priestly identity emerged through the interaction of multiple biblical traditions, while its functions extended beyond sacrificial worship to include teaching, legal authority, guardianship of sacred space, and communal leadership. The study further demonstrates that the Christian, and particularly Orthodox, reception of Old Testament priesthood preserves significant theological continuity while reinterpreting its meaning in the light of Christ and the life of the Church. By integrating historical, philological, and theological perspectives, this article contributes to a more comprehensive understanding of priesthood as a dynamic institution that shaped Israel's religious identity and continues to inform contemporary biblical and theological scholarship.
