Relevance.Accurate determination of the working length (WL) of the root canal is critical to successful endodontic treatment. Traditional methods—tactile, electronic (apex location), and radiographic—exhibit variability in accuracy and operator dependence. Artificial intelligence (AI), including machine learning and deep neural networks, is seen as a promising tool for improving the objectivity and reproducibility of measurements. Target.To systematize and critically evaluate current data on the use of AI models for determining the working length of root canals and identifying apical landmarks. Materials and methods.An analysis of systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and primary studies indexed in PubMed, Scopus, Embase, and the Cochrane Library was conducted. Methodological quality was assessed using the QUADAS-2 tool, and the certainty of evidence was assessed using the GRADE system. Results.Six primary studies and two systematic reviews with meta-analysis were included. The reported sensitivity values ranged from 0.85–1.00, specificity from 0.50–1.00, and accuracy from 0.70–0.95. A meta-analysis of five studies (over 1,765 teeth) demonstrated higher chances of correctly determining the RD using AI compared to expert assessment. However, all included studies were characterized by internal validation, the use of retrospective or laboratory data, and the absence of prospective multicenter studies. Conclusion.AI models demonstrate preliminary research potential for determining working length. The certainty of the evidence is assessed as low. Implementation into clinical practice requires prospective external validation in independent cohorts with standardized reporting protocols.

В статье обоснована педагогическая модель формирования патриотизма у курсантов на основе культурного наследия казахской и узбекской интеллигенции. Модель объединяет целевой, методологический, содержательный, организационно-процессуальный, диагностико-результативный и рефлексивно-корректирующий блоки. Сформированность патриотизма рассматривается через ценностно-мотивационный, когнитивно-познавательный, эмоционально-волевой и деятельностно-поведенческий компоненты, которым соответствуют четыре критерия и шестнадцать показателей. Обоснованы три педагогических условия, шесть содержательных модулей и три уровня сформированности патриотизма. Раскрыт механизм перехода историко-культурного содержания в личностный и профессиональный смысл, а затем - в патриотически ответственное поведение курсанта.

We report a second transiting-planet candidate in the TOI-7387 system (TIC 300381700), a T = 12.4, slightly evolved F9/G0 dwarf at about 600 pc that already hosts the 9.09-day giant-planet candidate TOI-7387.01. The new signal has a period of P = 3.1452736 ± 0.0000089 d and a depth of about 1000 ppm. It is detected in 69 transits in TESS 2-min photometry from Sectors 87–98 and is recovered independently in three full-frame-image pipelines (QLP, TGLC, TESS-SPOC) in every TESS observing year from 2018 to 2025. The SPOC pipeline flagged it as a threshold-crossing event in its Sector 1–96 multi-sector search, but it has not been released as a TOI. A joint transit model of both signals gives a radius of 4.62 ± 0.26 Earth radii, an orbital distance of 0.045 au and an equilibrium temperature of about 1610 K for the candidate. This places it inside the short-period Neptunian desert, on an orbit interior to a 14 ± 1 Earth-radius companion. The candidate passes odd/even, secondary-eclipse and period-alias tests. A point-spread-function fit to per-sector difference images excludes all 33 Gaia DR3 neighbours bright enough to produce the signal, and the depth does not change with aperture size. TRICERATOPS gives a false-positive probability of 0.013 ± 0.003, but the nearby false-positive probability (0.006 ± 0.001) is above the statistical-validation threshold because no high-resolution imaging of the star exists. We therefore present it as a planet candidate and describe the observations needed to validate it and measure its mass. The predicted radial-velocity semi-amplitude is about 8 m/s for a mass of about 19 Earth masses.

Abstract Background: Incidental thyroid nodules are commonly detected on neck CT performed for non-thyroid indications. Although most are benign, some may represent clinically significant thyroid disease. Aim: To evaluate the prevalence, CT characteristics, and clinical significance of incidental thyroid nodules and their correlation with subsequent ultrasonographic, cytological, and histopathological findings. Materials and Methods: A prospective observational study was conducted over 18 months (January 2025–June 2026) in a tertiary care teaching hospital in India. A total of 600 adult patients undergoing contrast-enhanced neck CT for non-thyroid indications were evaluated. Nodule characteristics were assessed on CT, and selected patients underwent thyroid ultrasonography, fine-needle aspiration cytology, and histopathological evaluation. Results: Incidental thyroid nodules were identified in 138 of 600 patients (23.0%). The mean nodule diameter was 14.2 ± 8.6 mm, and 31 patients (22.5%) showed suspicious CT characteristics. Ultrasonography was performed in 96 (69.6%) patients and FNAC in 42 (43.8%) of these. Cytology was benign in 27 (64.3%), indeterminate in 8 (19.0%), suspicious in 3 (7.1%), and malignant in 4 (9.5%). Histopathology confirmed papillary thyroid carcinoma in 6 and follicular thyroid carcinoma in 1 patient. Overall, clinically significant thyroid pathology was identified in 10 patients (7.2%). Nodules ≥15 mm and those with suspicious CT features were significantly associated with clinically significant pathology (p<0.001). Conclusion: Incidental thyroid nodules are common on neck CT, but only a minority demonstrate clinically significant pathology. Nodule size and suspicious CT characteristics may help identify patients requiring further evaluation.
