Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is one of the lethal malignancies due to the complex biology, genetic factors, over - expression of multiple biomarkers leading to multiple signaling pathways, immersed nature of tumor, lessen survival incidence from surgical resection and delayed diagnosis. The conventional treatment methods with less efficacy include chemotherapy and combinational therapy of gemcitabine with other chemotherapeutic drugs. These are some factors which demands advanced therapeutic regimens which includes oral drug which can stop progression at early stages. To address this concern, different drugs have been identified through virtual screening and experimented in-vivo and in-vitro that showed effective treatment outcomes. Capecitabine combination with different drugs has shown promising results in case of combinational therapies usage against PDAC. Advanced treatment strategies includes immunotherapy, use of monoclonal antibodies, immune checkpoint inhibitors, cancer vaccines, personalized medicine and nanotechnology based drug delivery system (DDS) which opens doors for rapid and promising results to alleviate progression of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. Drug delivery through nanotechnology based drug delivery system (DDS) has been showing effective anti-tumor results to stop the progression of cancer at advanced stage of PDAC. Overall, this review suggested that advanced technologies could serve as a robust way to treat this solid malignancy as well as development of drugs (oral / effective chemotherapeutic drug) can stop this disease at early as well as at advanced stages.

This repository contains the artifact that reproduces (a portion of) the results presented in the paper Mining Correlated Motifs with Wildcards in PPI Networks: Exact and Optimal with a single script, runme.sh. Here, you will find the version that went through the Artifact Evaluation Committee of ALENEX 2027. The most updated version of the code is available at this GitHub repository.
The version stored here has the following additional files:
The runme.sh script;
A Dockerfile to run runme.sh (optional);
A hardcoded selection of parameters so that the experiment runs end-to-end in a few hours (instead of several days). Specifically, the following files were edited: experiments/params.conf and experiments/rq3-5_efficiency/run.sh.
After running runme.sh, the results for all Research Questions (RQs) are collected in an output/ directory. Note that Internet access is needed as datasets from the STRING database will be downloaded on the first run.
Running the experiments
The dependencies are minimal, but we also provide a Docker image for convinience. To run the artifact, choose either Option A or Option B:
Option A — Docker
docker build -t cmm-repro .docker run --rm -it -v "$PWD/output:/work/output" cmm-repro
Option B — Linux host
Make sure the following prerequisites are installed:
build-essential makewget curl gzip gawk tar unzipdefault-jre-headlessgnuplot-noxtexlive-latex-base texlive-pictures texlive-latex-recommendedpython3 python3-pip python3-venv
Then, from this directory:
./runme.sh
What runme.sh does
The script runs these phases in order and is safe to re-run (the data and experiment stages skip work that is already complete).
Make scripts executable: make the scripts executable (a fresh unzip may drop the executable bit).
Build: compile the profiled version of the exact algorithm (cmm_test) and auxiliary programs (cmm_eval, cmm_dedup) into experiments/bin.
Prepare datasets: download and preprocess the real datasets, generate the artificial datasets, and unpack the bundled SLIDER datasets.
Unpack SLIDER: unzip the heuristic's executable.
RQ1–RQ2 (accuracy): run the exat algorithm and the heuristic (SLIDER) on a small hardcoded selection of parameters (see below).
RQ3–RQ5 (efficiency): run the exact algorithm over the artificial instances and plots the results.
Aggregate: collect all results into output/.
What is reproduced
To keep the runtime reasonable for evaluation, we fixed a selection rather than the full parameter grid used in the paper (we edited experiments/params.conf and experiments/rq3-5_efficiency/run.sh):
Datasets: 511145 (E. coli), 4932 (S. cerevisiae I), and yeast_ii (S. cerevisiae II).
Parameters: motif length l=8, wildcards d=5, 10 runs of 10 minutes each for SLIDER, and 64 threads for the exact algorithm.
Every parameter is documented in experiments/rq1-2_accuracy/README.md and experiments/rq3-5_efficiency/README.md.
Note: The results reported in the paper were produced with 128 threads.
Results
After the run, output/ contains:
output/rq1-2_accuracy:
curve_all.pdf: selection of plots from Figure 5.1 (RQ1).
density_all.pdf: selection of plots from Figure 5.2 (RQ2).
coverage_summary.tsv: selection of rows and columns (l=8 and d=5) from Table C.2 (RQ2).
performance_summary.tsv: selection of rows and columns (l=8 and d=5) from Table C.3.
output/rq3-5_efficiency:
efficiency_all.pdf: Figures 5.3, 5.4, and 5.5 with smaller parameters (RQ3-5).

ABSTRACT: Rape is one of the most serious forms of sexual violence and presents distinctive challenges for criminal justice systems because the offence frequently occurs in private, may leave limited physical evidence, and often depends substantially upon the testimony of the complainant and the proper collection and interpretation of corroborative evidence. In Bangladesh, the legal framework governing rape prosecutions is principally contained in the Penal Code 1860, the Evidence Act 1872, the Nari-O-Shishu Nirjatan Daman Ain 2000, the Code of Criminal Procedure 1898 and the Constitution of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Section 9 of the Nari-O-Shishu Nirjatan Daman Ain 2000 provides the principal statutory framework for punishment of rape, while specialised tribunals are responsible for trying offences under the Act. The legal framework has undergone significant amendments, including the Evidence (Amendment) Act 2022 and the Nari-O-Shishu Nirjatan Daman (Amendment) Act 2026. This article examines the principal evidentiary challenges affecting rape prosecutions in Bangladesh, with particular attention to victim testimony, medical and forensic evidence, DNA evidence, delay in reporting and medical examination, hostile witnesses, inconsistencies in statements, digital evidence and the historical use of character evidence. The 2022 amendment to section 146 of the Evidence Act introduced an important restriction on cross-examination concerning a rape victim's general immoral character or previous sexual behaviour, while repealing section 155(4), which had expressly permitted attacks on the complainant's character. Nevertheless, the continuing judicial discretion under section 146 raises questions concerning the practical scope of this protection. The article further examines victim protection. Section 14 of the Nari-O-Shishu Nirjatan Daman Ain restricts publication of information capable of revealing the identity of victims, including through online and social-media platforms. Section 31 permits protective custody in appropriate circumstances, while the 2025 amendmentsintroduced section 32B, enabling tribunals or magistrates to order protection for complainants, victims and witnesses and to provide reasonable travel and time compensation to witnesses. The 2026 amendment also strengthened the statutory framework concerning medical examinations and DNA testing. At the same time, rape prosecutions must comply with fair-trial guarantees. Article 35(3) of the Constitution guarantees an accused person the right to a speedy and public trial by an independent and impartial court or tribunal established by law. The prosecution therefore carries the responsibility of proving the charge according to law, while the accused retains procedural rights necessary for an impartial adjudication. The challenge is consequently to develop a system that protects complainants from intimidation, humiliation and secondary victimisation without compromising the accused's right to challenge prosecution evidence. Using a qualitative doctrinal methodology supplemented by socio-legal and comparative analysis, this article argues that effective rape prosecution requires a balanced evidentiary framework. Medical evidence should assist rather than replace judicial assessment of the complainant's testimony; forensic and digital evidence should be collected according to reliable procedures; cross-examination should remain meaningful but should not become a vehicle for irrelevant character attacks; victim and witness protection should be operational rather than merely declaratory; and trial procedures should be sufficiently expeditious while preserving the accused's constitutional guarantees. The article proposes reforms concerning forensic capacity, evidence preservation, judicial guidelines, victim-sensitive procedures, witness protection, digital evidence, prosecutorial practice and case management.

This dataset supports the longitudinal operational measurement study of Besu-EduNet, a permissioned Hyperledger Besu QBFT consortium blockchain operated by the University of West Attica for educational and applied-research purposes. It contains the complete block-level record for blocks 0–6,147,305 (6,147,306 blocks) collected over approximately 382 days, together with derived operational summaries, detected inter-block gaps, classified service interruptions, proposer-fairness measurements, validation output, and reproducibility scripts.
The dataset contains on-chain block metadata only: block number, timestamp, proposer address, gas used, and transaction count. It contains no transaction payloads, contract state, personal data, or user-identifying information.
The accompanying scripts document the JSON-RPC extraction procedure and reproduce the principal validation and derived measurements used in the associated manuscript.
Version 1.1.0 adds reproducibility artifacts for temporal proposer-participation analysis, including hourly proposer-participation windows, deficient-window episode detection, validator-set transition analysis, and the corresponding visualization. The underlying block-level dataset is unchanged from Version 1.0.0.

Here we describe an experimental module for a biochemistry teaching laboratory in which students learn how to make quantitative measurements of IC50 values to assess the relative affinity with which a protein binds to different DNAs. The experiment uses competition electrophoretic mobility shift assays (EMSA) to probe how mutating a DNA sequence changes binding by a transcription factor containing the GAL4 DNA binding domain. This enables students to formulate and test hypotheses regarding the protein-DNA interactions that drive binding, providing an inquiry-driven component while also teaching quantitative reasoning. The experimental module could be easily adapted to create a more research-like environment to meet the needs of different curricula and learning goals. After completing the experiment students will understand basic principles of competitive binding, affinity, and EMSAs.

This is the file-processing scripts required to generate meaningful figures for topography, grain size, and derived, modeled values.
How to use these scriptsThere aren't any particularly unusual packages used in this analysis, but the key requirements are:numpyscipypandasmatplotlibseabornjupyteripympl
The working environment is in the environment.yml file.
The parent utility file is in tools/tools.py and should be accessible through relative imports. The analysis of the data in the data/ directory is all generated through the Jupyter Notebook.
Loading the data
In notebooks/Figure_plotter.ipynb, the utilities and plotters are imported and all relevant figures are accessable. If you prefer spyder (my own preference), the file tools.py can be executed in the IDE and all relevant data and figures are renderable and become more or less interactive, insofar as matplotlib allows for that.
One note, orthogonal projections of the 3D scans does not look good in matplotlib, and there appears to be no way to effectively render a 45 degree view of the scan time series in an attractive way. I've preserved the original matlab figure, and have a script that plots the scans from the overhead view.
Experimental Description
Experiments were conducted in the Experimental Sedimentology Lab at the University of Texas at Austin, using an 11 m long recirculating flume. The flume is 0.6 m wide and 1.2 m deep. Using a flow diffuser at the upstream end, logarithmic flow-velocity profiles were generated, measured by a Nortek Aquadopp Acoustic Doppler Profiler. One meter from the flow diffuser, a 2 m long by 50 mm thick bed of sand was smoothed to cover the base of the flume. The sand mixture included 90 kg of medium quartz sand, D50 = 281 μm, ρqtz = 2616 kg/m3 and 1 kg of magnetic sediment, D50 = 330 μm, ρmag = 4990 kg/m3. This tracer concentration was chosen as a tractable, measurable concentration within bulk sediment
The mean vertically-averaged centerline flow velocities associated with the four transport conditions were 0.155 m/s (Experiment 5), 0.159 m/s (Experiments 4 and 6), 0.161 m/s (Experiments 3 and 7), and 0.188 m/s (Experiments 2 and 8). Despite a modest range in mean flow velocities between the experiments, we were able to generate a range of transport rates for the median quartz sediment, and theoretical transport conditions (based on the derived Rouse numbers, and retained volume fraction) because our experiments operated at thresholds for different types of transport. Our experiments were paused periodically throughout their duration to take elevation scans of the deposits. The experiments were run until the bedform translated one full wavelength past its initial deposition location. This does not ensure that complete steady-state transport filtering occurred, but by enforcing the rule of every grain in the domain necessarily experiencing at least one transport event we have some assurance that aggregate transportability is being modeled by the experiment.
