The isothermal oxidation behavior of a nickel-based superalloy, Diamalloy 1005, was evaluated in air. Oxidation experiments were conducted in air using an in situ heating furnace within a laboratory X-ray diffractometer (XRD) at three isothermal conditions: 950 °C, 1000 °C, and 1100 °C. The formation of Cr₂O₃, Cr₂NiO₄, NiO, and other minor oxide phases was observed. With increasing exposure time, Cr₂O₃ fully reacted with NiO to form Cr₂NiO₄. Oxidation rate constants were determined from the in situ XRD data, yielding an oxidative activation energy of 311 (±49) kJ/mol, which was compared to values reported in literature.

Convective weather is one of the major aviation hazards impacting air traffic in domains from airports to en-route operations. Convective cells can pose a significant safety hazard due to severe weather phenomena, such as hail, lightning, icing, and turbulence. For this reason, pilots usually tend to avoid convective areas, either planning longer trajectories pre-flight or tactically flying around them. These actions can result in large deviations from optimal routes and imbalances in sector demandcapacity loads in neighboring airspace. These could lead to ripple effects impacting the overall network and causing inefficiencies that need to be tactically managed by the Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs). Proactively managing these disruptions and capacity imbalances is crucial to planning and implementing effective Air Traffic Flow and Capacity Management (ATFCM). In this study, we compared two approaches for evaluating airspace capacity under convective weather conditions based on airspace permeability and controller workload. These two methodologies are used primarily for US and European airspace respectively, where the actions allowed to mitigate convective weather impacts are slightly different. For the permeability-based approach, the FAA Traffic Flow Impact (TFI) decision-support tool’s underlying model is presented to illustrate the approach. For the workload approach, the results obtained from the SESAR3 Industrial Research Project HARMONIC Solution 382 are presented, showing a new methodology for the sector's workload assessment with the presence of convective areas based on the use of additional ATC tasks. The methods are compared to identify strengths and weaknesses, as well as best practices that can be leveraged from each approach which can help inform future R&D priorities.

This study reexamines the geography of Song literati relations using the 19 September 2026 release of the China Biographical Database (CBDB). It distinguishes event-dated non-kin associations from father-in-law ties dated by inferred birth cohort, compares the geographical reach of scholarly, political, and writing relations, and audits the effects of source provenance and chronology restrictions. The immediate contrast around 1127 is small and uncertain; changes in marriage proxies begin earlier, political ties remain comparatively transregional, and the later aggregate rise in local ties varies by source and date quality. The accompanying reproduction package contains scripts and aggregate results but no individual CBDB records. This version has not been peer reviewed.

This repository contains the Python scripts and raw data used to generatethe results discussed in the manuscript:     "Quantitative holographic correspondence between the Peierls     instability and the Yukawa-Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model" The four scripts correspond to the four figures of the manuscript:     - bosonization.py        Computes the Luttinger parameter K of the Peierls-Hubbard model        as a function of U/t and lambda/t, and generates the        K <-> M/N mapping. Produces Figure 1.     - yukawa_syk.py        Solves the Yukawa-SYK saddle-point equations and computes the        boson scaling dimension Delta_phi(M/N) and the critical        coupling g_c(M/N). Produces Figure 2.     - susceptibility.py        Computes the bond-order susceptibility of the Peierls chain        and the order-parameter susceptibility of the Yukawa-SYK model,        showing they share the same scaling exponent 2K - 1.        Produces Figure 3.     - conformal_higgs.py        Solves the one-loop fixed-point equations for the minimal        conformally extended Higgs sector, with electroweak gauge        contributions. Produces Figure 4. The raw data generated by each script is saved to a companion textfile (figN_*_data.txt) and, where applicable, a NumPy archive(figN_*_solutions.npz), so that the results can be reproduced withoutre-running the scripts. All scripts require Python 3 with numpy, scipy, and matplotlib.
