  Herein, a novel polymeric nanocomposite based on zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (ZIFs) was synthesized through a facile one step phase inversion (PI) technique. The prepared PES/ZIF-8/ZIF-67 was employed to remove Malachite green (MG) dye from colored wastewater in both batch and continuous flow systems. The influence of different parameters such as adsorbent dosage, initial MG concentration and solution pH were investigated and the results indicated that the pure PES beads had negligible adsorption, while compositing of this polymer with ZIFs particles removed 99.2% of MG molecules with a significant adsorption capacity (613.2 mg/g). Aromatic–aromatic interactions (π-π stacking) between the rings of imidazole ligand and MG dye was dominant adsorption mechanism. Kinetics and equilibrium isotherms studies revealed that batch adsorption experiment followed pseudo-second order and Langmuir models, respectively. In addition, the continuous separation process was evaluated and the breakthrough curves (BTCs) proposed that the longest breakthrough time could be attained within 12 mg/L of inlet MG concentration, 6 cm of fixed bed height and 1 mL/min of flow rate. Several well-known models including Thomas, Bed Depth Service Time (BDST), Adams-Bohart and Yoon-Nelson models were employed to correlate the experimental data obtained from the fixed bed adsorption setup. Moreover, continuous flow adsorption was simulated using Aspen Adsorption™ software which can solve the governing differential equations and provide useful information for designing and scaling up the adsorption process to the industrial levels. Consequently, the PES/ZIF-8/ZIF-67 beads with a high adsorption performance have a good application potential for eliminating organic contaminates from wastewater.

Abstract. This article examines the role and significance of cultural events and festivals in enhancing the attractiveness of tourism destinations. It provides a comparative analysis of locally rooted festivals and imported festival formats in terms of distinctiveness, scalability, and their impact on tourism demand. Particular attention is paid to the influence of seasonality, attendee composition, and event timing on festival effectiveness. The findings show that festivals can strengthen destination image, create additional activities for tourists, and contribute to the redistribution of tourism flows over time. However, the actual tourism value of a festival depends not only on total attendance but also on its seasonal and structural characteristics. В статье рассматриваются роль и значение культурных мероприятий и фестивалей в повышении привлекательности туристских дестинаций. Проведён сравнительный анализ фестивалей, основанных на местной культуре и традициях, и заимствованных фестивальных форматов с точки зрения их уникальности, масштабируемости и влияния на туристический спрос. Особое внимание уделено таким факторам, как сезонность, состав посетителей и время проведения мероприятия. Результаты исследования показывают, что фестивали способствуют формированию туристического имиджа территории, созданию дополнительных видов активности для туристов и перераспределению туристических потоков во времени. При этом реальная туристическая ценность фестиваля определяется не только количеством участников, но и его сезонными и структурными характеристиками. Ключевые слова: фестивали, событийный туризм, туристическая привлекательность, сезонность, туристический поток, туристская дестинация, аутентичность.

RésuméLa République démocratique du Congo (RDC), dotée de l'un des sous-sols les plus riches du monde, fait face au paradoxe d'une exploitation minière intensive coexistant avec la paupérisation de certaines populations locales et la dégradation de l'environnement. Le présent article examine l'effectivité du régime de responsabilité civile et environnementale applicable aux sociétés minières en droit congolais. À la lumière du Code minier de 2002, tel que révisé en 2018 par la loi n° 18/001, et du droit commun de la responsabilité civile fondé notamment sur l'article 258 du Code civil congolais Livre III, l'étude analyse l'évolution vers un régime de responsabilité objective fondé sur le risque et la réparation des dommages causés aux personnes, aux biens et à l'environnement. Elle confronte les innovations du droit minier et environnemental à la pratique judiciaire ainsi qu'aux difficultés de mise en œuvre, notamment celles liées à la preuve, à l'expertise du dommage écologique et aux déséquilibres économiques entre les sociétés minières et les communautés affectées. L'analyse met enfin en évidence la nécessité de renforcer les mécanismes judiciaires et institutionnels susceptibles d'améliorer l'accès des victimes à une réparation effective et de favoriser un développement minier respectueux des exigences environnementales et communautaires.AbstractThe Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), endowed with one of the world's richest mineral endowments, faces the paradox of intensive mining activities coexisting with the impoverishment of some local communities and environmental degradation. This article examines the effectiveness of the civil and environmental liability regime applicable to mining companies under Congolese law. In light of the 2002 Mining Code, as amended by Law No. 18/001 of 2018, and the general civil liability regime based notably on Article 258 of Book III of the Congolese Civil Code, the study analyses the evolution towards a strict liability regime based on risk and compensation for damage caused to persons, property and the environment. It compares the innovations introduced by mining and environmental legislation with judicial practice and implementation challenges, particularly those relating to evidence, environmental damage assessment and economic imbalances between mining companies and affected communities. Finally, the analysis highlights the need to strengthen judicial and institutional mechanisms capable of improving victims' access to effective remedies and promoting mining development that respects environmental and community requirements.
