Science fiction as a genre is distinct from the other genres of literature. The foundational idea of this genre is given by Darko Suvin in Metamorphoses of science fiction. The core idea of the genre of science fiction is the theory of Cognitive Estrangement. It is set in a definite period with a cognitively empirical setting and a reality that is distanced from the actual reality. According to Suvin, novum functions as a deviation from the norms of the author as well as the reader. This study analyses S.B. Divya’s Machinehood with the concept of novum by Darko Suvin and his theory of Cognitive Estrangement. The novel Machinehood’s futuristic aspects distance the familiar reality and provide perception of systemic inequalities. This study closely reads the novel with the theoretical analysis of Suvinian idea, with the contextual analysis of contemporary issues. This study also tends to provide textual evidence of the diagnostic elements of the plot that are concealed with the concept of speculation.

Piksellar o'qitish va test to'plamlariga tasodifiy taqsimlanganda, giperspektral tasniflagichlarning aniqligi amaldagidan yuqori ko'rinadi. Ushbu oshish uchta sahnada qabul qiluvchi maydoni bo'lmagan ikkita tasniflagich yordamida o'lchandi va uch qismga ajratildi: yaqinlik, o'qitish to'plamida birorta ham pikseli bo'lmagan sinflar hamda test to'plamining tarkibi. Blokli va buferli ajratishga nisbatan farq 10,7–47,4 foiz punktni tashkil etdi. Pavia University sahnasida ushbu farqning 70–78 foizi yaqinlik bilan emas, balki o'qitish to'plamida mavjud bo'lmagan sinflar bilan izohlanadi. Bloklar 32 piksel o'lchamida bo'lganda, Salinas sahnasining bitta ajratilishi 10 ta sinfni o'qitish jarayonidan butunlay chetda qoldiradi.

The overall purpose of the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) is to define the general framework for future research, development and innovation activities in relation to the European Open Science Cloud. This Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) 2.0 for the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) Partnership presents an updated vision, new strategic priorities, and new implementation pathways designed to consolidate EOSC’s role as the European Common Data Space for Research and Innovation. Building on the progress achieved in the first five years of the European Co-programmed Partnership for EOSC2 (the “EOSC Partnership”), and responding to evolving scientific, technological, and policy landscapes, SRIA 2.0 identifies the systemic barriers that continue to limit the full potential of EOSC for Europe’s research capacity and elaborates derived strategic priorities for the years 2026 through 2030. SRIA 2.0 synthesises input streams coming from various highly relevant sources across the EOSC stakeholder community and curated by the EOSC Association (EOSC-A) Board of Directors. It has been adopted by the EOSC Partnership Board, co-chaired by the European Commission (DG RTD) and the EOSC Association.

Artificial intelligence (AI) decision support is increasingly proposed to enhance air traffic management, yet safe deployment depends on effective air traffic controller–automation collaboration and appropriately calibrated trust. This paper reports survey findings from the AWARE project, combining three data collections aligned with the progressive integration of AI: (i) attitudes towards AI during ATCO-only control simulation to collect data for AI training, (ii) human-AI teaming in operational tasks simulation comparing advisory and execution modes, (iii) ATCO reflections on human-AI collaboration questionnaire eliciting controllers’ requirements and acceptable boundaries for collaboration with AI. Controllers evaluated AI advice and autonomous task execution for three functions: direct routing, transfer support, and conflict management. Acceptance and trust remained positive when moving from advisory to execution mode, reaching their highest levels for direct routing. However, perceived workload increased across all functions and situational awareness improvements were minor. Reflective responses highlighted the importance of clear authority boundaries, override capability, and transparent rationale aligned with controllers’ mental models. These findings inform human-centred design and staged introduction of ATM decision support systems and point to the risk of increased coordination costs when teaming with AI.

Reconstructive interventions for severe alveolar ridge atrophy and localized jawbone defects present a major clinical challenge in modern oral surgery and implantology. Successful secondary bone healing and subsequent dental implant osseointegration heavily depend on the structural architecture, chemical composition, and origin of the grafting biomaterial. While xenogeneic, allogeneic, and synthetic scaffolds are widely utilized in augmentation procedures, a comprehensive quantitative comparison of their resorption kinetics, vascular recruitment, and structural osteogenesis remains partially elucidated. This study aimed to provide a comprehensive, multi-temporal histomorphometric evaluation of jawbone reparative osteogenesis and structural remodeling following the implantation of xenogeneic, allogeneic, and synthetic osteoplastic biomaterials in a standardized animal model.

Metabolic syndrome (MS) is accompanied by profound endocrine disturbances, yet the structural basis of adrenal dysfunction in this condition remains insufficiently characterised. The aim of the study was to assess histological, morphometric and hormonal changes of the adrenal glands in diet-induced experimental MS and to determine the relationships between structural and functional indices. Forty male Wistar rats were divided into a control group (n=10, standard chow) and an experimental group (n=30) receiving a high-fat diet (60% fat) together with 10% fructose solution for 10 weeks. Adrenal sections were stained with haematoxylin–eosin and Van Gieson and analysed in ImageJ; serum cortisol, aldosterone and DHEA-S were measured by ELISA. Experimental animals developed obesity, hyperglycaemia, dyslipidaemia and arterial hypertension. The adrenal cortex thickened by 15.8% owing to widening of the zona glomerulosa (+30.2%) and zona fasciculata (+21.1%), whereas the zona reticularis narrowed by 9.0%. Fasciculata cells showed hypertrophy (+22.8%), massive lipid vacuolization and a decreased nucleo-cytoplasmic ratio; stromal connective tissue increased by 85.4% and capillary density decreased by 18.0%. Serum cortisol and aldosterone rose by 72.0% and 55.8%, respectively, while DHEA-S fell by 26.2%. Strong correlations were found between zona thickness and the corresponding hormone levels (r=0.55–0.71). The findings indicate that adrenal cortical remodelling is an integral component of MS pathogenesis.

This poster presents results on alternative protein companies’ views on determinants of performance and stakeholders’ perspectives on marketability.
Findings reveal that critical shared determinants of marketability and company performance include product-related features (price, taste and ultra-processed classification), R&D and innovation, and policy conditions. This research highlights the value of including companies’ and stakeholders’ views to contribute to a comprehensive, multi-strategy approach for the alternative protein industry's growth.
