Open access data on Mosquito Alert participation and sampling effort.
This dataset contains data on participation and sampling effort in the Mosquito Alert citizen science system. It can be used for a variety of purposes, including (a) to adjust estimates of mosquito population densities and human-mosquito encounters based on sampling effort, and (b) to better understand the dynamics of citizen scientists' participation. The data is organized spatially by grids of "sampling cells," drawn at intervals of 0.05 degree and 0.025 degree latitude and longitude, and it is based on optional anonymous background tracks from the Mosquito Alert app. The dataset includes raw track counts aggregated in sampling cells, along with estimates of sampling effort based on a model of participants' propensity to send any report as a function of the time elapsed since they first began participating.
The repository is hosted on both Zenodo and GitHub and contains the following files:

The article presents the methodology of the independent lesson analysis conducted by the teacher after a lesson, together with the main criteria to be considered. A systematic “aim — process — result — conclusion — improvement” model of lesson analysis is proposed, and practical rules of professional development are set out. The use of active teaching methods that enhance lesson effectiveness — critical thinking development, problem-based and interactive learning, and graphic organisers — together with thought-provoking open questions, is illustrated with practical examples. In addition, the “professional burnout” syndrome, widespread among teachers, is analysed on the basis of modern scientific approaches — the model of C. Maslach and the WHO ICD-11 classification — and practical psychological recommendations for its prevention are provided.

This article explores the intricate use of imagery in the poetry of Aziz Said, with a particular focus on the bridge metaphor as a central symbol in his works. By analyzing key poems, the study examines how Said employs the bridge as a multifaceted image, symbolizing themes of connection, transition, and the crossing between different realms—be it physical, emotional, or philosophical.

This dataset supports the systematic review article "Rethinking Urban Food Systems through Urban Agriculture and Vertical Farming for Health and Environment: A Systematic Review", which synthesises evidence from 22 Core studies examining how the integration of biological systems, smart technologies, architectural design, food engineering, and environmental management in urban agriculture and vertical farming contributes to a sustainable urban food, health, and environment nexus. From an initial pool of 1,207 records and 38 studies that passed full-text eligibility, 22 Core studies were retained for in-depth synthesis, while 16 Supporting studies were excluded to maintain focus on the most directly relevant evidence. The review covers multiple thematic dimensions, including biological systems and precision breeding (CRISPR-edited crops, nanofertilisers, microalgae), smart technologies and digital transformation (IoT, artificial intelligence, deep learning, digital twins, robotics), architectural integration and the built environment (green façades, building-integrated photovoltaics, agrivoltaics, green roofs, biophilic design), food security and nutrition, public health and indoor environmental quality, environmental sustainability and circular economy, and nexus interactions. The included studies span seven disciplinary clusters: Architecture, IT and Computational Science, PSDAL, Biology, Public Health, Food Science, and Plant Breeding as a cross-cutting domain. Methodological approaches range from experimental studies, simulations, life cycle assessments, case studies, and conceptual reviews.
The dataset includes Figure 1 (PRISMA 2020 Flow Diagram illustrating the study selection process from 1,207 initial records to 22 Core studies), Supplementary Document 1 (PRISMA 2020 Checklist with 27 items completed for the systematic review), Supplementary Document 2 (Quality Assessment Criteria detailing the design-appropriate appraisal framework using MMAT, JBI, CASP, and ISO 14040/14044), Supplementary Document 3 (Full Data Extraction Form containing standardised data from all 22 Core studies including author(s), year, title, DOI, discipline, sub-field, research question, status, population, exposure, outcome, study design, tools and methods, key findings, food aspect, health aspect, environment aspect, nexus, quality tool, quality score, risk of bias, limitations, identified gap, implications, and key quotation), Table 1 (Inclusion and Exclusion Criteria), Table 2 (Search String and Retrieval Results from Scopus Database), Table 3 (Quality Assessment Results), Table 4 (Characteristics of Included Studies), and Table 5 (Synthesis of Key Findings). H_FW_cl_30_NH.nc and H_FW_sst_30_NH.nc are the outputs from the reference and sensitive WACCM simulations, respectively. In the reference run, we used the observed monthly mean climatological sea surface temperature (SST). Apart from the SST over eaastern North Pacific (ENP), the SST in the sensitive run was identical to that in the reference run. In the sensitive run, the SST forcing over ENP superimposed the SST anomalies, which were obtained as the difference in the SST between high-SST years and low-SST years over ENP during the time period 1940/1941–2022/2023. The low- and high-SST years were defined based on detrended and normalized SST averages over the ENP region in December, with values lower than –1.0 for low-SST years and higher than 1.0 for high-SST years.

The rapid integration of touchscreens, smartphones, and mobile devices into daily domestic environments has drastically transformed the developmental landscape for young children. This paper examines the adverse physiological, cognitive, and socio-emotional consequences associated with excessive screen exposure among preschool (ages 2–6) and school-age (ages 7–14) children. Drawing upon recent epidemiological data and neuroimaging studies, we analyze how prolonged gadget use correlates with language delays, executive dysfunction, sleep disturbances via blue-light melatonin suppression, and elevated risks of emotional dysregulation. The study emphasizes the critical period of early brain development, highlighting how passive screen consumption disrupts real-world sensory-motor experiences and interpersonal interactions necessary for emotional intelligence and socialization. Strategic clinical recommendations and screen-limiting guidelines are discussed to mitigate these developmental risks.
